A Foundation Built Long Before His Career
Construction has been part of Abdul's life from the very beginning.
New FEDCO is a family-owned and operated company founded by his father nearly three decades ago. Growing up around the business, Abdul witnessed firsthand what it takes to manage complex restoration and construction projects throughout New York City. He learned the importance of craftsmanship, accountability, strong relationships, and solving problems in the field where they matter most.
Those early experiences laid the groundwork for a career built on both technical knowledge and practical execution.
Engineering That Strengthens Construction
Abdul earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, where his studies focused on civil, structural, and environmental engineering.
His education provided extensive training in structural analysis, construction materials, infrastructure systems, environmental compliance, and site development, giving him a deep understanding of how buildings are designed and how they perform over time.
Before joining New FEDCO full-time, Abdul worked as a Design Engineer for both Dennis Group and Bohler Engineering. There, he gained valuable experience developing engineering plans, coordinating multidisciplinary projects, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of the engineering process, long before he stepped into the role of leading construction projects.

Today, as Principal of New FEDCO General Contractor Corp., Abdul combines his engineering background with decades of family construction experience to provide clients with a uniquely well-rounded approach.
He understands how engineers evaluate existing conditions, develop repair strategies, manage risk, and communicate technical requirements. At the same time, he understands the realities of construction in the field, including scheduling, logistics, labor coordination, and practical problem solving.
